  A cross-linked polyethylene pipe, most commonly known as “PEX,” this piping is cost-effective, flexible, durable and rust-resistant. This material can be used for both hot and cold uses. PEX won’t corrode like traditional plumbing piping systems, such as copper. This is especially beneficial if you live in an area where water is acidic.
